2. Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions
We are committed to lowering our GHG emissions intensity across the value chain—from fuel blending to distribution and end-use. Through energy- efficient technologies, process optimization, and cleaner fuel initiatives, MJLBPLC directly supports Bangladesh’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and SDG 13: Climate Action. We are also exploring opportunities to measure and offset our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions as part of our long-term decarbonization roadmap.

Our facilities are designed to operate with minimal environmental disruption. We emphasize:
- Energy optimization in blending and packaging plants.
- Waste minimization through recycling and responsible disposal.

These initiatives contribute to SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, reflecting our commitment to eco-efficient industrial practices.

MJL Bangladesh PLC. promotes environmentally superior lubricants, including low-emission formulations and energy-efficient synthetic oils that extend equipment life and reduce fuel consumption. This helps industries and consumers lower their environmental impact—contributing to a cleaner future.

Our environmental responsibility extends beyond our gates. MJLBPLC supports reforestation, biodiversity conservation, and greening initiatives in areas surrounding our operations. We regularly conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and adhere to national and international environmental standards to ensure ecological integrity.

We follow strict compliance with environmental regulations laid out by the Department of Environment (DoE) of Bangladesh, and we maintain ISO 14001 environmental management system practices.
