Flawless Execution

The Lube Oil Blending Plant is the pride of the company. This State-Of-the-art lubricant oil blending plant is considered as one of the most technologically advanced in-line blending facilities in South East Asian region.

LOBP facility

Safety measures

At Dolphin Oil Jetty 8 (DOJ-8), the construction of an independent and uniquely designed 10” pigged pipeline has been established near the Plant. The purpose of this pipeline is to receive and transfer base oil from ships directly into the storage tanks. Besides, the sophisticated design and management prevent accidental spillage since the tank farm area is surrounded by a bund or a low wall.

In accordance with the Safety, Health, and Environment policy, the following features have also been incorporated into the plant:

Dry slop tank system

to collect any spillage from the plant

API separator

to separate all oil from drain water before it leaves the plant

Fire fighting capability

fire water tank complete with a sprinkler, fire hydrant, and other equipment for four hours fire fighting capacity at 205 m' I hr.

Tank Storage Facility

The supremacy of the facility relies on the capability and capacity to store the amount of lubricant product. The LOBP Facility accommodates 52 tanks for storage of base oils, bulk additives, and preparations including pre-blend tanks, holding tanks, and finished products tanks. There are some intense features incorporated into the designs, such as internal heating coils for day tanks and additives to get pre-set temperature levels.

Blending System

The In-Line Blending (ILB) System is recognized to be unparalleled due to its fully computerized functionality and specifications. The ILB is capable of blending over 300 lube oil formulations from over 50 base oils and additive components. The uniquely engineered ILB manages to control the preparation of raw materials and instantaneously with its automatic regulations implements all necessary adjustments to ensure on-spec products 100% of the time.

To produce a top-notch and specific grade of lubricants, depending on consumer needs, four pre-mix tanks are used to achieve the quality result. Moreover, these tanks are fully-equipped with an agitator and drum decanting system, which are then collectively termed a semi-automatic blending system.
